みなさんは「ほうじ茶」お好きですか？
ちなみに私は大好きです。
カフェで、ほうじ茶パフェとか、ほうじ茶プリンとか見ると、
つい頼みたくなってしまいます。
そんなメニューを見かけるほど、
馴染みのあるほうじ茶ですが、どんなお茶なのかご存じでしょうか。
ほうじ茶は身体を温める飲み物と言われています。
なぜほうじ茶は身体を温めるのでしょうか。
温める以外にはどういう効果があるのか、
そして「緑茶」とは何が違うのか、まとめてみました。
ほうじ茶とは
ほうじ茶は、煎茶や番茶を焙煎（きつね色になるまで強火で炒める）したお茶です。
焙じる（ほうじる）⇒ほうじ茶
焙じることで、苦み成分のタンニンが減少し、苦みや渋みが少なく、
飲みやすいお茶といえると思います。
身体を温めてくれる理由
ほうじ茶に含まれる「ピラジン」という成分が身体を温めてくれると言われています。
「ピラジン」の効果は・・・
①血行を良くしてくれる
②血液さらさら
③リラックス効果
⇒血行が促進され、血流がよくなることで、身体が温まります。
緑茶は身体を冷やす？！
緑茶にはカフェインが含まれているため利尿作用があります。
温かい緑茶であっても、利尿作用による排尿時に、身体の熱が奪われてしまいます。
ですが、端的に緑茶は身体を冷やすから身体によくない、
ということではないと私は思います。
緑茶には抗炎症作用や殺菌作用などもあり、ビタミンも多く含まれる、
日本人が昔から飲んできたお茶です。
私は香りも好きですし、リラックスできるので、飲みたいときは我慢せず、
楽しむことにしています。
身体を温める以外の効果
ほうじ茶にはこのほかにも身体に良い効果があるんです！
〇カフェインが少ない
高温で焙じることで、カフェインが減少します。
ほうじ茶のカフェインはコーヒーの三分の一、紅茶の二分の一程度です。
〇口臭予防・風邪予防
お茶に含まれるカテキンの効果も期待できますが、
焙じることで、カテキンの含有量は減少してしまいます。
ほうじ茶の飲み方
香りを出すために、高温のお湯を注いで淹れます。
時間は30秒程度でOK。
浸出時間を長くしても、渋味が出にくいのも特徴です。
注ぐときはうま味が凝縮されている、最後の一滴まで注ぎきりましょう。
ほうじ茶は自宅で作れる
ほうじ茶は緑茶を焙じた茶葉なので、自宅で作ることもできます。
フライパンで焦げないように煎るだけ。
どの緑茶を使うかや、焙じる時間によって味も香りも変わります。
ほうじ茶は比較的、安価で手に入りますが、自宅で作る楽しみもありますね。
自宅で作ったほうじ茶と、買ったほうじ茶の味比べも楽しそうですね。
最後に
ほうじ茶は身体を温める効果があることがわかりましたが、
「リラックス効果」も重要だと私は思います。
そもそも、身体を温めるのは手段。目的は健康でいるための身体づくり。
その目的には身体だけでなく、心の持ち方もとても重要です。
